About us

At Lenkie, we’re passionate about helping small businesses turn their big ambitions into reality. Through our innovative lending products and powerful cash flow management platform, we empower SMEs to succeed. We have supported hundreds of UK businesses with millions in funding.

We are a high-performing, collaborative team headquartered in London with a remote-first culture. Backed by world-class investors, we recently closed a £4M equity and £45M debt Series A investment round. We are now entering a pivotal scaling phase and are looking for a sharp, execution-focused Credit Analyst to join our mission.

About the job

We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Business Development Representative to help grow and optimise our existing sales channels. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in fintech and customer sales, who enjoys building strong external relationships and improving how things are done.

You’ll be part of our existing high performing team managing opportunities from initial engagement through to onboarding and funding. You’ll play a key role in all our existing sales channels - providing world-class service, driving sustainable growth, and bringing fresh ideas to improve our sales and onboarding processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and progress qualified opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from initial interest to onboarding and funding.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for SME leads from our outbound, inbound and introducer-led channels, delivering a high-quality, responsive customer experience.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your leads to ensure they achieve successful outcomes and onboard to Lenkie as smoothly as possible.

  • Independently handle customer onboarding, working closely with our underwriting and operations teams to ensure smooth execution.

  • Proactively identify bottlenecks in the sales and customer onboarding process, proposing and implementing practical improvements.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, reporting on deal status, funnel performance and key sales metrics for your leads and customers.

  • Support wider commercial initiatives and ad hoc projects as the business scales.

Qualifications/Required Skills

  • 0–24 months’ experience in a business development, customer-facing or closing sales role. Specific industry experience is not required.

  • Strong interest in fintech, SME lending products, the UK business ecosystem and working in a fast, scaling company.

  • Confident managing leads and customers independently, taking ownership from first contact through to completion to ensure the best possible experience.

  • Relationship-focused, enjoying building trust and credibility with Lenkie customers.

  • Process-driven mindset with a genuine interest in improving efficiency and ways of working.

  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple deals and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and working with data to manage and forecast pipeline performance.

  • Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving approach.

How we reward performance

  • Very competitive salary.

  • Flexible, remote-first culture.

  • Opportunity to accelerate your career at a fast-growing startup.

  • Professional development support to enhance your skills and career growth.

  • Regular team and company socials.

  • Opportunity to make a big impact in the lives of small business owners globally.
